Message	between the two sides, and I don't think you'll have any problems. I've seen one Z like that. if you decide you want to connect them, then the X-pipe is prob superior to an H-pipe you won't have much choice as to where you put the X-pipe, see Guapo's pic, that is the typical location I feel the stock H- or X- pipes are too far downstream on our cars to make any huge impact, but they are the accepted standard for our cars
